Hello, my name is Mary. I have an intellectual and developmental disability, but these obstacles don’t prevent me from moving forward; nor should any disability stop you from achieving your own success.
My advice to anyone who has learning challenges is this: remember, it is difficult, but you shouldn’t give up. You should do what you love and what inspires you.
I am here to help you embrace that challenge, to let you know that you are not alone.
I started this site because I wanted to provide information and share some of my experiences as a writer and a person with a disability. I want to show everyone who I am, what I am about, and what I have to offer. Please send me your comments; any constructive feedback is appreciated, but please be respectful.
Note: On this website, I mainly focus on disabilities and writing. Any disabled person out there who has challenges, who want to be a writer, should try their best. It may be hard, but there is help out there. Find an editor or someone who is good in English to help you. There is always a way. If I didn’t have people edit my work, none of this would have been possible.
A Personal Note
I like my site user friendly and that everyone is welcome. I invite you to look around and hope you will come back soon to visit my site. If you have any questions or comments, please go to the contact page. At the bottom of this page is a signup form for latest updates for my blog posts or any upcoming news about my writing. If you want to check out archives or recent posts, you will see them at the bottom of the page as well.
Currently I wrote a short story book, the theme deals with Family. I don't want to give too much away, but if you click on the link here I have a few pictures. They will give you a few hints what the book is about. When the book is completed, I will provide more information about it here.
I have another blog website. It deals with a variety of issues, not related to writing.
